The Best Turkey Burger Lettuce Wraps

If you're lacking sandwiches on a keto or low carb diet, these are sure to suit the bill for you.

Fillings are the best part anyway, and utilizing crunchy bits of iceberg lettuce is nice and super rewarding.

I love turkey burgers, so to add more fat and plenty of taste to these, I've added bacon, avocado, tomatoes and red onions. I  love to have white cheddar cheese, too.

What do you need to make Lettuce Wrap Burgers?

This Lettuce Wrap Burgers recipe is very simple and only required 6 ingredients.

Turkey Burgers : chicken, sub beef, or even salmon fillets here!

Avocado or guacamole : (I also like to add jalapeños if I have them on hand)

Bacon : a great way to add a little fat!

Tomatoes

Iceberg Lettuce : go ahead and use a more nutritious leaf or romaine lettuce if you must, but the crunch and freshness of iceberg is delicious here!

Thinly sliced red onions (optional) : yes, onions are high in carbohydrates, but they have a lot of health benefits, so they are perfect in small amounts.

Cheese (optional) : choose your preferance here, but I love white cheddar or pepperjack!

Sauces : mayonnaise, dijon mustard free of sugar, or a limited amount of ketchup free of sugar, both work here!

Differences on Lettuce Wrap Burgers

Everything you love about a burger, you can place it on a lettuce wrap!

Try pork, bison, beef, or even salmon filets instead of turkey burgers.

Use sugar-free sauces, such as mayonnaise, dijon mustard, keto-friendly ranch, or ketchup free of sugar.

Spice it up with jalapeños, pepperjack cheese or salsa.

Go gourmet of grilled peppers, bleu cheese, marinated artichoke hearts, mushrooms, or pickles or pickled veggies.
